[dropcap]G[/dropcap]reat news this week for those of you who have been sporting your Bengal t-shirts and hoodies for years! From leopard to tiger, sexy animal prints will never go out of style and now they’re hotter than ever!
Finally, the world of haute couture and runway shows is catching up on what’s really cool: Bengal Cats! Stefano Gabbana himself has quite the soft spot for these wild-looking pets, having incorporated them into his new styles on the catwalk!
His Bengal cats, he mentions in an interview, make “wonderful playmates” and he fell in love with them at first sight. He even takes them to the office with him! What a wonderful source of inspiration for his designs.
These looks from Dolce & Gabbana were seen at the Milan Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2016-17 that went on in Milan, Italy on February 28, 2016. Stefano Gabbana’s styles were a true reflection of his adoration for these exotic cats.
The Italian label sent out over 90 looks and 4 of the dresses were filled with photo-realistic prints of Bengal cats and kittens in various poses. It captures beautifully the mystery and regal energy of our beloved cats!
It certainly takes a Bengal owner to reproduce the awe-inspiring aura that these cats possess. Large Bengal cat prints coupled with royal-inspired symbols and colours gave these looks an especially majestic feel.
Mr. Gabbana himself has brought into his home an entire family of Bengals who joined the canine-centric household! Congo, Zambia and their kittens born in October 2015: Mali, Togo and Kenya. Keeping with the naming trend, Mr. Gabbana named the kittens after African countries.
And of course, as all us lover of Bengals do, he documents with snapshots their every adorable moments on his personal Instagram page, using the hashtag #DGFamily. All of his cats love to play hide and seek on the leopard-print sofa, inside the designer’s house in Milan, with Stefano’s trio of Labradors: Rosa, Totò and Mimmo.
