[ads1][dropcap]H[/dropcap]ave you ever wondered why, when a cat thinks something is forbidden or of limits, that very thing becomes the most interesting thing in the world? I have no other explanation besides that their defiant little feline brains see the word “no” as the ultimate stimulant. It’s like they find perfect joy in doing something they are not supposed to, and anyone who has ever had a cat will agree on this with me. Although this rebellious side of theirs can get on your nerves sometimes, you have to admit that you adore them for their independence and that unmistakable kitty attitude.
And what better way for felines of the world to let us know they’re the bosses than knocking over our stuff with a smug face? This video captures one sassy Bengal telling his human that he’s in charge… By repeatedly pushing over a toothpaste cap, despite his owner’s efforts to put it back. Benji, which is the name of this charmingly disobedient Bengal cat, became so fascinated with this everyday object he had the need to test if the laws of psychics apply to it. Or, if you prefer, wanted to test for exactly how long will his owner let him knock it over.
His unrelenting efforts to keep the plastic cap down are incredibly cute, but what really got me laughing is the moment when Benji’s interest faded. The instant this impish little Bengal realized that his human isn’t actually bothered by his little rebellious display, but rather amused, he went for some other forbidden object, only to have it swiftly taken from him. (You can’t blame a kitty for trying, am I right?) He was so cute when he looked right into the camera, only moments before he gloriously pushed the cap one more time. It’s impossible not to be enchanted by this adorable Bengal cat!
For those of you who have Bengal cats, this behavior won’t seem that unusual. These leopard-like felines are well known for their thieving habits and playful nature. There isn’t a place or an object in your home that is off limits to your Bengal. As a matter of fact, the more out of bounds something seems, the more intriguing it is to them. But hey, even if your Bengal’s antics drives you crazy every now and then, you’ll agree that you find it both impressive and charming most of the time!
