[dropcap]B[/dropcap]oomer the silver Bengal made heads turn last August as he and his owner Robert Dollwet showed up at a dog show in Australia. Equipped with a GoPro, leash and harness in hand, the duo strolls right in and starts the “meet and greet” with fifty different dogs.
The exceptionally well filmed video is presented to us in the point of view of the Bengal as well as on the same level as the other animals. The wonderful frame change and panoramic filming allows us to see the reactions and the oh-so-sweet interaction. His amazing disposition and confidence is totally surprising!

It’s just wonderful to see how Boomer is beyond self-confident and friendly as he goes nuzzle to nuzzle with each dog he comes across as if he himself were a dog! We see a variety of different dog’s breeds and sizes having no problem with the kitty’s contact, in fact he’s very welcomed. They seem as though they all want to sniff, pounce and have a bit of playtime from, what they could be thinking, is just the strangest dog they’ve ever seen. Some reactions are more bizarre than others; a small kiss, a big jump, a drool filled lick, a bark or whimper.
I would have to say that the most priceless (and my favourite) moment is shared between Boomer and a young dash hound. It was all in the eyes as he looked in the camera as if to say “ O.K, I’m officially confused and awkward, now I have no idea what to do”. Robert Dollwet is the mastermind behind this video and many others involving his animals.
Mr. Dollwet has over thirty-four years experience in training animals so it’s safe to say that he would never do anything that could potentially put his animals in harm’s way. It is defiantly not recommended for anyone who does not have the type of experience and knowledge to attempt the same. For Mr. Dollwet insured that Boomer was indoctrinated as a “Honorary” canine member for that event.
