[ads1] [dropcap]B[/dropcap]engal cats are known to love playing in the water but this Bengal by the name of Linux takes it one step further. Linux is beyond curious of what lies within the glass barrier that the humans call “a shower”. The sound of running water and glass walls are no match for Linux’s skill and curiosity. Fed up with his demands going unheard for the human to open the door, he stretches out along the glass wall allowing us to see his magnificent coloring and spots. Linux is truly a creature of beauty and charm. He takes a moment to judge his distance then makes a most accurate and balanced leap just landing on the very thin glass ledge of the shower door. Linux’s remarkable skill and stability prove that there is no obstacle that Bengal cats won’t overcome to satisfy their curiosity.
F1 Bengal means first generation cross between an Asian Leopard Cat and a domestic cat, so F1’s are roughly 50% ALC blood/50% domestic blood. Linux’s mom is an SBT (Stud Book Tradition – later generation ‘domestic’) Bengal and his dad is an Asian Leopard Cat. F1 through F4 (foundation) Bengals are anywhere from 1 to 4 generations away from the ALC and an SBT represents at least 5 generations or more of Bengal-to-Bengal breeding.
